Project Fire to Protect Lundavra Road School

Work has just started on one of the three new schools for the The Highland Council, as a part of a £36 million project to provide new primary schools in the Fort William area.

The job of protecting the building at Lundavra Road and its pupils has been handed over to Project Fire. Project Fire are no strangers to the area having already worked with The Highland Council on the highly innovative and sustainable Acharacle primary school in Argyll, the first Brettstapel construction in the UK.

The Highland Council are dedicated to providing modern schools to the area, an investment that Project Fire are delighted to be a part of. We hope to bring our same level of specialist expertise and innovation to the project and theres no doubt that the building and its pupils will be well protected by the time the school opens next year.

Both new schools are due to open in August 2015 and will also include community facilities such as multi-use sports pitches. Meanwhile, pupils, staff and parents, and the local community, are being asked to help choose names for the new schools in Lundavra Road.
