Innovative fire protection solutions for modern buildings.
Project Fire Announces New Qualification Route
Project Fire are pleased to announce that our Fundamentals of Sprinkler Design Course can now form part of a recognised progression route towards a formal qualification within the fire protection industry. This development marks an important step forward in supporting greater knowledge, competence, and professionalism across the sector.

From Fundamentals to Formal Qualification
Long recognised as a valuable introduction to sprinkler system design, the Fundamentals course now goes further.
Following successful completion of the course and assessment, learners can progress to the SFJ Awards Level 3 Certificate in Commercial Sprinkler Design for Ordinary Hazard Systems through Sprinklers Training Academy.
This qualification provides a structured pathway for those looking to advance their technical expertise and build a recognised professional standing within the industry.
Supporting Career Progression
Achieving the Level 3 qualification also supports progression beyond training.
Learners may be eligible to use this qualification through the JIB (Joint Industry Board) to obtain a Black Manager CSCS card – an important milestone for those developing their careers in sprinkler design and management.
While the Fundamentals course remains available as a standalone training programme, this new progression route offers additional opportunity for individuals looking to further develop their credentials and take the next step in their careers.
Raising Standards Across the Industry
At Project Fire, we are committed to supporting the continued professional development of the fire protection industry.
By helping to create clearer training pathways and recognised qualifications, we aim to contribute to higher standards in sprinkler system design – ultimately helping to protect businesses, property, and lives.
