2016 In Review

As 2016 draws to a close, it’s time to reflect back on the year, and what a year it was with Brexit turmoil and the changing of the guard at No.10. It’s certainly true that for the construction industry we have all been extremely busy and the tower cranes and traffic congestion in our major cities confirm this!

As most of you will know we have been very busy at Project Fire further developing our global success story with a new addressable version of our Zonecheck flow-switch testing device. We are pleased to report that the new Zonecheck Addressable has been readily embraced by the market both in the UK and in our export markets too.

When we embarked on this new generation Zonecheck Addressable product development back in 2010, we were determined to create a truly integrated and dynamic solution for the market that would answer our customers’ future requirements and build on the extensive pedigree and quality credentials of our existing Zonecheck. From the original brief, we worked closely with customers, consultants, contractors and industry professionals; and by creating a diverse technical development group, we could develop the product as a collaboration process with the industry in order to include all parties’ requirements and perspectives. This is an on-going process to which we would not have developed such a well constructed and integrated addressable solution without your valued input.

"As many of you will know we have been very busy at Project Fire further developing our global success story with a new addressable version of our Zonecheck flow-switch testing device."

The currently available Zonecheck Addressable system has a fantastic range of applications and integral components that all gel together to provide a comprehensive end-to-end solution. While providing great benefits for all parties within the construction process, such as less plant space, capital cost savings, operational cost savings, simplicity and automation of compliance, system testing, sustainability and resource saving, extended life cycle savings.

The story doesn’t stop there… We now have factory built Zonecheck Addressable ‘Pods’ providing all the given benefits and cost savings associated with a minimal footprint and plug-and-play technology. We are working on a series of new innovative add-ons to our Zonecheck Addressable products further reducing the costs and simplifying and automating the ancillary component testing for code compliance. The Zonecheck Addressable product has UL approval for the primary fire sprinkler alarm signal, the only one in the world! Due to the way in which the system has been designed and the software operates, the Zonecheck Addressable system has the capability to test multi-occupancy sites centrally, automatically, without any coordination or disruption to the tenants, with integrated universal protocol outputs. The Zonecheck Addressable system can also include Bellcheck Addressable which then provides fully automated sprinkler system testing, where traditionally the coordination of testing especially in multi-occupancy buildings can be onerous. The system has been designed to operate on a double-point failure principle as opposed to our original Zonecheck which is single point failure technology. The good news is that our new Zonecheck Addressable product can be simply upgraded from analogue and the new after sales comprehensive warranty packages include all existing components.

"I would like to thank you for your ongoing support for our products and we look forward to working closely with you on new and exciting projects in 2017."
