We are proud to announce that we have gained accreditation to the prestigious ISO50001:2011 Energy Standard, to stand beside our existing accreditations ISO9000, ISO14001, and OHSAS18001. This is a huge milestone for us, a feat that is unequalled within our industry sector.
The achievement of this standard is consistent with Project Fires’ overall corporate strategy, and reinforces their commitment to greater energy efficiency, and the conservation of precious resources.
To achieve the standard, Project Fire have created and implemented the following elements into their existing management system:
The object of the new standard is to ensure that an accredited company continuously improves its energy-related performance and identifies energy-reduction opportunities through the energy management system (EnMS). The standard is intended to not only save the company money and help conserve energy resources, but will also contribute to the company’s overall efforts to improve quality and environmental management.
As part of the standard, Project Fire are committed to reducing energy usage within the company by 5% year on year, and invest in new and increasingly efficient modes of lighting and heating to decrease their overall energy footprint. The changes made under ISO 50001 are entirely consistent with the other standards, ensuring that they remain safe, sustainable, and measurable.
Project Fire view accreditation to the standard as a demonstration of their commitment to their customers, and reinforces their position as a global company dedicated to conserving the environment.
Project Fire continue to pioneer sustainability in the field of fire protection not only with our innovative products but in our everyday business, which is something we're very proud of here at Project Fire.
